If you have only seen the reef during the day, it is hard to imagine how much it changes at night. It is only during the night that many species go hunting and reproduce. Many of the creatures you see hiding in crevices during the day, come out and play at night. Lobsters, crabs, moray eels, octopuses, sea urchins, nudibranchs and sea cucumbers are a lot more active and curious between dusk and dawn.
Plus, thanks to the light on our flashlight we can appreciate the real colors of the reef and be astounded by the bright yellow, red and purple sponges. The coral in general, especially the hard corals, reveals itself during the night by extending and opening its polyps to feed from anything the current brings. A can’t miss for dive enthusiasts that are always interested in seeing and learning something new. Full snorkeling gear will be provided including the underwater flashlight.
